The European Space Agency (ESA) in cooperation with the Institute for Environmental Solutions (IES) and the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia (MES) organise the 8th ESA Training Course on Radar and Optical Remote Sensing which will take place in Cēsis, from 5th-9th September.
The course is aimed at the promotion and dissemination of Earth Observation (EO) technology in a variety of science and industrial fields. It will provide participants with an introduction to radar and optical remote sensing technology as well as examples of end –user applications of this technique within the environmental field including theoretical lectures as well as hands-on computing exercises.
We invite researchers, MsC (or close to completion) and PhD students, and professionals from Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia (PECS – Plan for European Cooperating States) who use EO technology within their daily work and would like to improve their knowledge of radar and optical remote sensing. Research scientists and students from all other countries are also welcome to apply and participate to the course subject to space availability.
