IES signs the Memorandum of Understanding with The Biology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic

On October 7th 2014 Institute for Environmental Solutions (IES) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with The Biology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (BCAS). Both organizations are interested in further broadening of cooperation in research of sustainable use of lakes and reservoirs. The main scope of collaboration is research of interactions in water ecosystems affected by human activity at wide temporal and spatial scales.

The Memorandum is valid for four years. The aim of the Memorandum is to facilitate institutional cooperation in the fields of fundamental and applied research and promote institutional relations to reach higher levels of internationalization of both institutions in all areas of cooperation that are of common interest. The cooperation will be coordinated by Dr. Matīss Žagars (IES) and prof.Dr. Jan Kubečka (BCAS).
