Development of Space Technologies and Services Cluster 2012-2015

Institute for Environmental Solutions (IES) is a member of Space Technologies Cluster (STC) in Latvia.

The Aim of STC

To promote cooperation of space and high technology enterprises, research institutions, higher education institutions, and non-governmental organisations to facilitate their competitiveness and export ability towards fast growing space market, thus improving overall growth of Latvian economy.

Our activities within STC

  • Use of airborne remote sensing to simulate future satellites;
  • Development of methods and tools for the remote sensing data collection and interpretation;
  • Development of remote sensing applications for environment protection and sustainable management purposes
