WasteArt project welcomes the public to the international art exhibition “NOT out of sight, NOT out of mind” which is dedicated to rethinking waste

On the 15th of August WasteArt project partners invite you to the opening of an international art exhibition NOT out of sight, NOT out of mind taking place in Tartu Nature House, Tartu, Estonia. The exhibition will stress the consequences of overconsumption and invite visitors to look at the waste differently as a material, resource and opportunities for the future!

"Preparation

The exhibition is set out to raise awareness of the fact that trash does not disappear from the planet. It is accumulating at a disturbing rate, and the only way for us to regain control is to become conscious of the fact that waste is part of our culture. Following this cause 14 internationally recognized artists from 9 countries were invited to develop art works using waste materials found locally or from the landfill “Daibe”. The subsequent exhibition is as multi-faceted as the authorship and the problem tackled. Works range from dystopian visions and public disobedience to metaphysical contemplations, documentary depictions and practical solution searching.
